ProBuild Australia has been involved in major surge events including:
- 2020 – Sydney Hailstorm
Drivers were trapped in cars, trains were halted, and tourists were struck by lightning as severe storms rolled across NSW, bringing destructive winds and large hail across Sydney in January 2020.
- 2020 – Melbourne Hailstorm
Parts of Melbourne’s outer suburbs were pelted with hailstones up to 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter on Sunday, January 19, 2020.
- 2019 – Bushfires
Ferocious bushfires ravaged South Australia and Kangaroos Island. Of the 440,500 hectare island, approximately 211,000 hectares were affected by this fire.
- 2019 – Townsville Floods
The 2019 Townsville flood was a major flood event that occurred in the city of Townsville and surrounding areas with an estimated total property damage of over $1.2 Billon AUD.
- 2017 – Cyclone “Debbie”
Debbie made landfall near Airlie Beach on the Whitsunday coast and devastated resort islands, Airlie Beach and Proserpine. The cyclone tracked south east producing major flooding in central and southeast Queensland and northeast New South Wales.
- 2016 – Broken Hill Hailstorm
A severe hailstorm lashed the city of Broken Hill, in far west NSW on November 11th, 2016 at around 6.30pm. Golf ball-sized hail and severe winds lashed the city.
- 2015 – Newcastle Storms
April 2015 superstorms saw houses washed away in Dungog as a ‘once in a decade storm’ hit Newcastle and the greater northwest NSW and Sydney regions.
- 2015 – Cyclone “Marcia”
Crossing the Queensland coast north of Rockhampton in February 2015. With wind gusts of almost 300km/h, it destroyed about 350 homes and damaged almost 2000 properties in and around Yeppoon and Rockhampton.
- 2013 – Cyclone “Oswald”
Oswald passed over parts of Queensland and New South Wales, causing widespread impact including severe storms and flooding.
- 2013 – Bundaberg Floods
Bundaberg City experienced its largest flood in recorded history with the Burnett River peaking at 3pm on 29 January 2013 at 9.53 metres.
- 2011- Whyalla Hailstorm December 17, 2011
A severe hailstorm hit the South Australian regional town of Whyalla on the 17th of December 2011, causing widespread damage throughout the town.
- 2011 – Cyclone “Yasi”
Yasi crossed the coast near Mission Beach, 40km to the south, causing major damage to infrastructure around Tully.
